In Week 14, the Buffalo Bills will travel to face the Los Angeles Rams with the goal of securing the AFC’s top seed. The 10-2 Bills are still one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for a first-round bye, but if they win against the Rams and the Chiefs lose to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night, Buffalo will control their own destiny for the rest of the season.
On Sunday, the Bills could see the return of two major weapons in Josh Allen’s offense. Keon Coleman, a rookie receiver who has been out since Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins due to a wrist injury, is allegedly close to returning, according to coach Sean McDermott’s Monday news conference.
Coleman was almost ready to play last week, according to McDermott, but the team elected to keep him out for precautionary reasons.
Not only could Coleman return on Sunday, but sophomore tight end Dalton Kincaid, who has been sidelined with a knee ailment since Week 10, appears to be close to returning.
Although Kincaid has not practiced since his injury, the Bills chose not to place him on injured reserve, indicating that they did not expect him to be sidelined for more than four weeks. Sunday’s game would mark the fourth week since his injury, which corresponds to the anticipated schedule for his recovery.
Returning two explosive weapons with five games remaining in the season would be a huge boost for the Bills’ playoff hopes.
