BREAKING: Juan Soto trolls Yankees, Mets with ‘announcement you’ve been waiting for’

Free agent outfielder Juan Soto steps into the spotlight, standing before a table crowded with microphones, prepared for a press conference.

“This wasn’t an easy decision,” Soto begins, addressing the camera.

For weeks, Mets and Yankees fans—and baseball enthusiasts everywhere—have anxiously awaited news on where the four-time All-Star would land in free agency. Could this be the moment of revelation, shared through a surprise social media video?

“But after meeting with a team, it became clear where I wanted to be,” Soto continues, building the suspense.

Reaching under the table, the 26-year-old right fielder pulls out a hat. The crowd holds its breath, straining to identify the logo. Could it be the Yankees? The Mets? Or perhaps one of the other teams he’s been linked to in rumors?

“That being said,” Soto announces, placing the hat on his head, the logo finally coming into view: “CELSIUS.”

Taking a sip of the energy drink, Soto smirks and says, “What, you were expecting a different announcement?”

Baseball fans everywhere have been eagerly anticipating Juan Soto’s decision in free agency. While they’ll have to wait a bit longer for an official announcement, negotiations seem to be moving forward.

Here’s what we know so far:

Soto has reportedly met with at least five teams: the Mets, Yankees, Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Dodgers. However, details about those meetings remain unclear, with mixed reports circulating about their content and progress.

On Sunday, ESPN’s Buster Olney reported that Juan Soto’s meetings with teams were purely introductory, aimed at “getting to know Soto.” However, on Monday, Randy Miller of NJ Advance Media presented a conflicting account. Citing a source familiar with the negotiations, Miller reported that offers have already been made.

There’s speculation that Soto might announce his decision during the Winter Meetings, scheduled for Dec. 9-12, though this remains unconfirmed. For now, fans and analysts alike can do little but wait.
