Georgia football is still in search of its second quarterback commitment for the 2025 class. While the Bulldogs have secured a commitment from four-star Ryan Montgomery, Kirby Smart and his staff have made it clear that they want to add another QB to the class.
One recruit who visited Georgia this past weekend was five-star QB , though he appears to be leaning toward Colorado. However, there’s another five-star QB that Georgia is still in the running for: Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele.
Sagapolutele, a five-star quarterback from Hawaii, is ranked as the No. 19 overall player in the country by On3. He is also the No. 4 QB in the 2025 class and the top-ranked player from Hawaii.
Sagapolutele had initially planned to visit Georgia during their game against Tennessee, but the visit was canceled due to his high school team’s playoff game. While there were concerns that the cancellation would prevent him from visiting later in the season, those fears have been alleviated as he still plans to visit Georgia soon.
Sagapolutele visiting Georgia for season finale
According to On3, Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele plans to visit Georgia for their season finale against Georgia Tech. He is also set to visit Cal this weekend, the school he has been committed to since July.
It is currently a three-team race for Sagapolutele, with Georgia, Cal, and Oregon all in contention. He has already visited Oregon and is showing strong interest in both Cal and Georgia.
This recruitment will be a tough challenge for Kirby Smart and his staff, as Sagapolutele seems very fond of Cal and has a strong interest in Oregon as well. While it’s difficult to predict his decision at this point, the hope is that his upcoming visit to Georgia goes well and that Smart can position the Bulldogs to flip his commitment.
