With the early signing period just two weeks away, the college football recruiting landscape is heating up, and Georgia football remains a key player. Long recognized as a powerhouse in recruiting, the Bulldogs currently hold the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports.
However, being ranked second isn’t the standard for Georgia. The Bulldogs aim to claim the top spot, just as they did last year. To achieve this, head coach Kirby Smart and his staff will need to finish strong, securing key commitments and potentially flipping recruits already pledged to other programs.
On that front, Georgia is making moves. The Bulldogs recently received two official predictions on On3 to flip one of the nation’s top offensive tackle prospects, signaling their intent to bolster an already elite recruiting class.
4-star OT Dennis Uzochukwu
Dennis Uzochukwu, a four-star offensive tackle from Lawrenceville, GA, is garnering significant attention as the early signing period approaches. Ranked as the No. 189 overall player nationally by On3, he is also the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 22 prospect from Georgia.
Uzochukwu has been committed to Georgia State since July, but that may soon change. On Tuesday, On3 recruiting experts Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons both logged predictions for Uzochukwu to flip his commitment from Georgia State to Georgia.
Securing Uzochukwu would be a big win for Georgia, as he would fill a critical need in their class. The Bulldogs currently have only one true offensive tackle committed, making Uzochukwu’s addition both timely and valuable. His skill set would strengthen one of the most crucial positions on the field.
While the exact timing of Uzochukwu’s decision remains uncertain, with the early signing period fast approaching, an announcement in favor of Georgia could come any day.
