Even though the Bills are on a bye week, they may prepare for their Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Buffalo Bills will have a stress-free week as they prepare for their bye week. With a six-game winning run, the Bills can rest and prepare for a Sunday Night Football showdown against Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers. After a few of weeks away from primetime, the Bills are back in action in front of Bills Mafia.
The 49ers are normally toward the top of the league in terms of wins, but this season has been unusual for them.
They are currently 5-5, second in the NFC West, and will face the Packers in a tough NFC matchup coming Sunday. They enter this game with a few injuries on their roster.
One of the ailments that the 49ers must deal with includes a star defensive player. Defensive end Nick Bosa has an oblique/hip ailment that Kyle Shanahan will evaluate throughout the week, according to Adam Schefter.
The Bills may have a fantastic advantage against 49ers in Week 13
Even though it is too early to say whether Bosa will be ready for the 49ers in Week 13, his appearance on the injury list could play a key part in his not playing. Hip/oblique injuries do not heal quickly, thus Bosa may miss primetime football versus the Bills.
San Francisco’s defense is already one of the hardest in the league, with to guys like Bosa, Fred Warner, and former Bill Leonard Floyd. Not having to deal with Bosa could be an edge for Buffalo’s offensive line.
Despite Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown’s solid performances this season, Bosa is one of the league’s best pass rushers.
We still have more than a week before we learn more about Bosa’s injury, but it is something to keep in mind for Buffalo. There is a significant difference in game planning depending on whether Bosa is present or absent.
