Patrick Mahomes Sends ‘Surprise’ 5-Word Message to Josh Allen After Chiefs’ Loss to Bills

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 30-21 on Sunday evening, handing them their first setback of the 2024 season. It was a close back-and-forth game that the Bills eventually won in the last two minutes. It wasn’t quite the famous quarterback duel that we’ve come to expect from both teams’ top quarterbacks. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen both had boneheaded interceptions and weren’t as crisp as they had been in previous games. However, it was, as always, exciting. Allen sealed the game with a monster 26-yard touchdown run on fourth down late in the fourth quarter.

After Mahomes threw another pick to cement the Chiefs’ fate, the two superstar quarterbacks reunited at midfield for a postgame conversation.

Mahomes sent Allen a five-word message that appeared to vow they’d see each other in the playoffs: “We’ll do it again, baby.”

It would be beneficial to all football fans if they did it again. Every Bills-Chiefs game in recent years has been a barnburner, and the postseason games have been especially memorable. Neutral audiences would consider it a delight to see Mahomes and Allen square off again in the postseason this year, though loyal fans on both teams may be forgiven for wanting to avoid the high-energy atmosphere that comes with their rivalry.

Another solid one in the books for Mahomes and Allen. Let’s hope we get to see another before the season ends.
