Bills vs. Chiefs: Five players ruled out for Week 11 matchup

The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have completed their final practices for Week 11, giving clarity on who will be unavailable for their Sunday matchup. Both teams are facing offensive challenges with key players sidelined.

For the Bills, wide receiver Keon Coleman and linebacker Matt Milano remain out, the latter still on Injured Reserve, which was expected since Monday. However, it’s now confirmed that tight end Dalton Kincaid will also miss the game after injuring his knee during the Bills’ Week 10 win against the Indianapolis Colts. Kincaid, hurt while stretching for an overthrown pass in the first quarter, was pulled from the game after intermittent play.

Kincaid has been absent from practice all week, but with an upcoming bye, he will have extra recovery time. In his absence, Dawson Knox is expected to take the lead at tight end, with Quintin Morris providing depth. Knox has a solid track record against the Chiefs, recording 12 receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns in five games.

More pressing for the Bills is the questionable status of wide receiver Amari Cooper and right tackle Spencer Brown. Cooper, battling a wrist injury for three weeks, missed Weeks 9 and 10 but showed promising signs this week, catching passes from both a Jugs machine and quarterback Josh Allen.

Brown, limited on Friday after sitting out two days, has been seen jogging but remains uncertain for Sunday’s game. If he can’t play, Ryan Van Demark will step in, as Tylan Grable remains on IR. Van Demark, in his second year, has logged 24 offensive snaps this season.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs will be without running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu, which was anticipated since head coach Andy Reid hinted they wouldn’t be activated from IR this week. Both remain in their 21-day practice window, leaving a slim chance until now.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will, however, have JuJu Smith-Schuster back after a three-week absence due to a hamstring injury from Week 7. Smith-Schuster has played just five games this season, recording nine receptions for 147 yards and a touchdown.

Additionally, the Chiefs will be without kicker Harrison Butker, who has been placed on IR.
