The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for their most significant game of the 2024 season as they face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Riding a five-game winning streak, the Bills have found their rhythm on offense and defense. Despite their success, discussions continue about potential roster upgrades. A familiar name often mentioned is safety Micah Hyde, who spent seven seasons with the Bills before leaving in free agency this past offseason. Currently unsigned, Hyde’s return has been a topic of interest.
When asked about the possibility of reuniting with Hyde, quarterback Josh Allen shared his perspective in a recent press conference. “I’ve talked to him a bit and checked in,” Allen said. “Love that guy. Honestly, I don’t have strong thoughts on it. Our defense has been playing fantastic football. But if the chance to bring him back came up, I think everyone here would welcome him with open arms.”
During his tenure with Buffalo, Hyde earned two second-team All-Pro honors and made a Pro Bowl appearance. While Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin have primarily held the safety roles this season, adding a veteran like Hyde could bolster the team’s depth in the secondary.
