The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for one of the season’s biggest NFL games as they welcome the Kansas City Chiefs. Heading into this matchup, the Bills face concerns with their receiving unit, as both Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper missed their Week 10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts due to wrist injuries. Coleman has already been ruled out, marking his second consecutive missed game. When asked about the possibility of Coleman being placed on injured reserve, Coach Sean McDermott offered a reassuring response. “No,” McDermott stated. “From what the trainers are telling me, he’s still making progress. We just don’t expect him back this week.”
Amari Cooper’s availability for Sunday remains uncertain, as he hasn’t been ruled out yet after missing the Bills’ previous two games. Coach Sean McDermott was less optimistic when asked about Cooper’s chances of playing. “If I knew… I think it comes down to pain tolerance and threshold,” McDermott said. “We’ll just have to wait and see. I’m not familiar with the medical specifics you might be looking for. I just take my cues from [head athletic trainer] Nate [Breske] and go from there.”
Cooper’s status may become clearer based on his participation in practices leading up to Sunday. Either way, the Bills are undoubtedly hoping to have their recent trade addition on the field against the defending Super Bowl champions. So far this season, Coleman and Cooper have contributed a combined 667 receiving yards through 10 weeks.
