Alabama’s season has been puzzling. Just over a month ago, they hosted Georgia and dominated the first half. However, the Bulldogs rallied and even took a late lead until Alabama’s quarterback, Jalen Milroe, threw a touchdown pass to Ryan Williams to reclaim it.
The following week, the Crimson Tide traveled to Vanderbilt and lost 40-35, and a few weeks after that, they suffered another defeat on the road against the Volunteers in Knoxville.
Alabama’s Jalen Milroe Gets Great Praise
This past weekend, Alabama risked facing its third loss of the season on the road at LSU. However, instead of another road setback, they exploded, defeating the Tigers 42-13—thanks largely to quarterback Jalen Milroe.
The 21-year-old QB ran 12 times for 185 yards and scored four touchdowns, averaging an impressive 15.4 yards per carry. The LSU defense struggled to contain him all night.
Milroe’s outstanding performance earned him SEC Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.
With their victory over LSU, Alabama is now well-positioned for a spot in the college football playoffs. If they avoid missteps against Mercer, Oklahoma, or Auburn, they’re likely to secure a playoff berth.
This weekend, the Crimson Tide will face Mercer in their final non-conference game of the regular season.
