The Pittsburgh Steelers are showing signs of improved health as they emerge from their bye week. For the second consecutive day, center Zach Frazier (ankle), running back Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle), and quarterback Justin Fields (hamstring) fully participated in practice, indicating they’re on track to play against the Washington Commanders.
Linebacker Tyler Matakevich (hamstring) and wide receiver Ben Skowronek (shoulder), both on injured reserve, were also full participants for the second day in a row. They may be activated for the game, which would require the Steelers to clear two roster spots.
Outside linebacker Nick Herbig, recovering from a hamstring injury, remained limited in practice for the second day. Friday’s practice will be key in deciding his availability, though he’s hopeful to return against the Commanders.
Safety Terrell Edmunds missed his second day due to illness, while tight end MyCole Pruitt was sidelined with a knee injury. Veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward also missed practice, given a rest designation.
