Breaking: Virginia Tech Confirms Significant Injury Concerns Loses Two Key Star Players

While Clemson fans are focused on their own team’s injury-riddled defense, Virginia Tech is dealing with significant injury concerns of its own, especially with its key offensive players potentially sidelined for  matchup.

Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry confirmed that starting quarterback and star running back  are both “questionable” to play against Clemson.

“They’re both questionable right now,” Pry said. “They’re obviously better than they were. Kyron’s doing better than he was last week at this time, but Bhayshul is still a bit uncertain. Today will reveal more, and we should have a better idea by tomorrow.”

Drones missed last week’s game against Syracuse due to a lower-body injury. This season, he’s tallied 1,447 passing yards with 10 touchdowns, and he’s added 323 rushing yards with 6 more scores. Backup quarterback Collin Schlee stepped in against Syracuse, completing 16 of 24 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown, along with 54 rushing yards and another score on 19 carries. However, Schlee also had two fumbles, losing one.

Pry mentioned that Schlee should be available if Drones is unable to start. Tuten’s status remains less clear; he was seen in a walking boot this week after missing the Syracuse game with an ankle injury. Pry sounded hopeful about Tuten’s return, stating earlier in the week on the ACC Network that Tuten was “probable” but still uncertain. “If he has a chance to play, he will,” Pry noted, adding that Tuten is known for his toughness.

Tuten has been crucial for Virginia Tech’s offense this season, with 142 carries for 951 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 118.9 yards per game.

As Saturday approaches, Clemson fans will want to follow Virginia Tech’s injury updates as closely as their own team’s. This game could come down to which team has more healthy players, potentially giving them the edge in what might be a hard-fought matchup.
