Kiyan Anthony, a four-star shooting guard and son of Syracuse legend and NBA star Carmelo Anthony, is set to announce his college decision on Friday, November 15. Anthony, a top-30 prospect in the 2025 class from Long Island Lutheran High School in New York, has narrowed his choices. He’s taken official visits to Syracuse and USC but has yet to visit Auburn.
While several recruiting analysts suggest his decision may come down to Syracuse and USC, recent predictions lean towards Syracuse. Jamie Shaw from On3, a respected national analyst, recently projected Anthony to commit to the Orange with a 60% confidence rating. Joe Tipton, another On3 analyst, along with two Rivals.com predictions from earlier in the year, also favor Syracuse.
Though predictions like these aren’t guarantees, they reflect strong interest from both Anthony and the Syracuse program. Syracuse basketball has heavily recruited Anthony since extending an offer in November 2022, prioritizing him through visits, in-home meetings, and attending his games with Team Melo in Nike’s EYBL league.
If Anthony chooses Syracuse, he would join a promising 2025 recruiting class for the Orange, which already includes five-star forward Sadiq White Jr., three-star wing Aaron Womack, and three-star combo guard Luke Fennell.
