JUST IN: Bills Confirm Blockbuster Signing of Another Top Experienced Veteran

The Buffalo Bills have announced two roster changes for their practice squad.

Buffalo has added WR Deon Cain to its practice squad and released kicker Lucas Havrisik.

Cain was on the Bills’ preseason roster, and he had three catches for 28 yards against the Panthers.

In 2018, the Indianapolis Colts drafted him in the sixth round (No. 185) from Clemson. Throughout his NFL career, he has played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He has appeared in 15 career games, six of which he started, and has 124 yards.

Cain also played with the Birmingham Stallions in the United States Football League, where he was awarded MVP of the 2023 USFL Championship game after collecting three touchdowns. Cain is a Tampa, Florida native.

Bills GM Reveals His Plans At The Trade Deadline

The Buffalo Bills are once again a top team in the AFC, currently holding a 6-2 record as the trade deadline approaches. General Manager Brandon Beane recently appeared on the Ross Tucker Podcast to discuss the team’s potential moves, noting, “I’m always going to naturally check around and look at stuff…I gotta look under every rock.”

With the addition of Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns a couple of weeks ago, the Bills might still be in search of more talent. Beane highlighted past moves, like trading for veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas just before last season’s deadline. Douglas has made a strong impact, contributing 12 pass deflections, four interceptions, and 62 tackles in his 17 games with the Bills.

As the season reaches its midpoint, the Bills look primed for a Super Bowl run. Will Beane make another move to strengthen the roster, or does he believe the team is already complete? Bills fans and the rest of the league will know by November 5 at 4 p.m. ET.
