The Buffalo Bills aim to extend their AFC East lead this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, powered by one of the league’s most explosive offenses, scoring over 30 points in consecutive games. A standout weapon has been receiver Khalil Shakir, the only returning starter among last year’s receivers. Despite missing one game, Shakir leads the Bills with 36 receptions, totaling 421 yards and two touchdowns.
Shakir’s impact goes beyond traditional stats—he boasts the league’s highest catch percentage at 94.7%, edging out Chiefs tight end Noah Gray by 0.3%. Among receivers, he ranks first, with the next closest receiver only at 26th place, as the top spots are held by tight ends and running backs. Shakir has also drawn the most targets of anyone in the top 25.
Against Seattle, Shakir posted his best game of the season, with nine catches for 107 yards. Reflecting on the win, Shakir praised Buffalo’s receiver group as one of the NFL’s best. Despite offseason questions about the unit’s potential following the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, the Bills’ “everybody eats” mentality has kept the offense productive and versatile in 2024.
