The 2024 NFL season has been challenging for the Carolina Panthers, who continue to struggle and fall short of expectations since selecting quarterback Bryce Young with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Earlier in the season, head coach Dave Canales and his staff made a surprising decision by benching Young in favor of veteran quarterback Andy Dalton. The switch appeared to energize the team as they dominated the Las Vegas Raiders on the road in Week 3. However, that momentum quickly faded, with the team failing to secure another win.
As the Panthers prepare for their Week 8 game against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High, they are once again turning to Young. Dalton is unavailable due to a thumb injury sustained in a car accident, and wide receivers Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen are also ruled out, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Facing a tough Denver defense, the 23-year-old Young will not only have to contend with a formidable opponent but also do so without two of his top targets. The odds are stacked against him, but this game presents a crucial opportunity for Young to prove his worth as the team’s starter or showcase his potential for other NFL teams.
