LSU’s lopsided victory over Arkansas was not ignored, and the SEC acknowledged two Tigers for their contributions to the triumph.
Redshirt junior kicker Damian Ramos and junior right tackle Emery Jones were recognized by the SEC for their contributions. Ramos was selected the league’s special teams player of the week, and Jones was chosen the offensive lineman of the week.
Ramos had one of his greatest games as a Tiger, going 4-4 with a new personal high 48 yards. He also made a 47-yard shot and two 33-yarders. Ramos was also 2-2 on PATs, bringing his total to 114 in a straight, four behind Cade York’s program record of 118.
Jones contributed significantly to LSU’s season-best running output. LSU rushed for 158 yards, with freshman running back Caden Durham accounting for 101. Jones and his fellow offensive lineman allowed no sacks for the sixth time this season.
