BREAKING: Mark Davis drops truth bomb on Raiders trading Maxx Crosby this season

The Raiders’ trade of Davante Adams to the Jets has left fans in Las Vegas with a sense of dread, as the team’s outlook for the remainder of the season looks grim. Adams’ departure marks the loss of yet another key player, leaving a roster depleted of star power and mired in quarterback struggles. With little to look forward to, it’s understandable why some fans are beginning to brace for a downward spiral.

In the wake of the Adams trade, speculation has shifted to the fate of Maxx Crosby, the Raiders’ standout pass rusher. Despite dealing with a high ankle sprain that has affected his play, Crosby remains a premier edge rusher when healthy. Given the team’s recent moves and the potential for a larger rebuild, it wouldn’t be surprising for some to wonder if Crosby could be the next star to be dealt, especially with teams in need of pass-rushing help. However, Raiders owner Mark Davis has been firm in putting those rumors to rest, making it clear that the team has no intentions of trading Crosby.

Crosby, who has been vocal about his commitment to the Raiders, even citing the logo tattooed on his body as a symbol of his dedication, is seen as a cornerstone player for Las Vegas. While Adams’ exit signals a shift toward a potential rebuild, the Raiders appear set on keeping Crosby as a key piece for the future, possibly to anchor the defense during what could be a transitional phase. For fans looking for some glimmer of hope, Crosby’s presence on the roster may be one of the few bright spots in a challenging season ahead.

Raiders owner Mark Davis says NFL should release report on Washington investigation

“It’s unfortunate today, but there’s a lot of false information floating around,” Davis told The Athletic. “It is not coming from any sources. It is not originating from anything. My main rule is to never answer any of those questions because otherwise you will become imprisoned in this black hole. “It’s simply not happening.”

So there you have it! I’m not one to always accept what an owner says, but this seems like someone who has no intention of trading away his team’s last genuinely excellent player. Crosby certainly means a little more to the franchise than Adams ever did – the former has been in Vegas since his draft, when the team was still in Oakland – and might, in theory, be a defensive cornerstone on the next great Raiders squad. (How is he just 27?!)

The NFL trade deadline is November 5th, so there are only a few more nerve-racking weeks of panic when Adam Schefter tweets about the Lions. Have fun!
