Just In: Oregon Ducks Lands Blockbuster Commitment for Top-Rated 4-Star DL

Oregon Ducks have secured another key addition to their 2026 recruiting class after four-star defensive lineman committed. The Salt Lake City, Utah native is ranked as the No. 6 prospect in Utah and made his decision public shortly after Oregon’s win over the No. 4 Buckeyes on Saturday night. Moala had previously decommitted from USC on Sunday before announcing his commitment to the Ducks.

Vilami Moala shared the news on social media, expressing gratitude: “First and foremost I wanna thank My Lord and savior for helping me make this decision! I wanna thank all my family in my corner and standing by me with my decision! With that being said I wanna announce that I am committing to the University of Oregon!!!”

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound lineman is rated as the No. 45 defensive lineman and No. 9 player in Utah according to Top247. In the 247Sports Composite, he holds a four-star ranking, positioned at No. 348 overall and the No. 37 defensive lineman.

Moala is the fourth defensive lineman/edge rusher to join Oregon’s 2026 class, which continues to lead the rankings. Though he has played both offense and defense in high school, Moala is highly regarded at each position.

Greg Biggins of 247Sports provides this scouting report: “Moala is a dominant two-way player receiving equal attention as a nose guard and as a center/offensive guard in college. On offense, he is a physical, punishing run blocker with a mean streak, light on his feet, and effective in pass protection. Defensively, he is more of a bull rusher but demonstrates good hand usage and a quick first step. He can absorb double teams, stuff the run, and win one-on-one battles with strength and toughness. He projects as a high-level Power 4 prospect who should compete for early playing time in college.”
