News Flash: Steelers Confirms Ground Breaking News Regarding Russel Wilson

Steelers top star is fully fit for the first time this season, but replacing Justin Fields as the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers may be a nearly “impossible” task. After being released by the Denver Broncos, Wilson joined the Steelers in the offseason and initially won the starting role.

However, a lingering calf injury sidelined the eight-time Pro Bowler, allowing Fields to start the first five games. With Fields gaining momentum, Wilson faces a tough challenge to reclaim the position, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. “I’ve learned over the past few weeks that the Steelers’ locker room and coaching staff have a lot of love for Fields,” Russini noted.

“Although the big question during every game has been, ‘Will Mike Tomlin switch to Russell Wilson now?,’ from my perspective, Fields’ momentum may make it nearly impossible for Wilson, even when healthy, to retake the top spot on the depth chart.

” Tomlin has named Fields the starter this week against the Las Vegas Raiders, mentioning that while Wilson is now healthy, he’s still shaking off some rust.

“Health and rust are separate matters,” Tomlin commented. Fields has performed well in his five starts so far, though he still has areas to work on. The former first-round pick has accumulated 961 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception.
