Just In: Braves Take Another Mind-blowing Coaching Decision that Will Excite Fans

These moves come after the Braves were eliminated in early October, despite having the best record in baseball last season. However, the Braves’ healthy players all struggled offensively this season. This resulted in a sad finish, a two-game sweep by the San Diego Padres. This is also the third season in a row that the Braves have failed to go past the Division Series in the postseason after winning the World Series in 2021.

The two hitting coach positions will be filled, while the catching coach position will remain vacant. This is partly because the role of catching coach did not exist before to Fasano’s hiring in the fall of 2017. He has previously contributed to the Braves’ success and has been described as “colorful” by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Chipper Jones has been removed from the list of potential successors for either hitting coach position. Manager Alex Anthopoulos made these decisions before the offseason to give Seitzer, Magallanes, and Fasano more time to find other positions.

However, Atlanta found it tough to part ways with coaches who had been with the organization for a long time. Seitzer has made a significant contribution to the Braves’ success. Atlanta had the best team slugging percentage in MLB history past season, so Seitzer deserves a lot of credit for what he accomplished while with the organization.

He was the longest-tenured hitting instructor in MLB, having spent the previous ten seasons with Atlanta. Seitzer will undoubtedly be a popular commodity this offseason. He would be an excellent coaching prospect for the Toronto Blue Jays to pursue this offseason. Toronto fired hitting coach Guillermo Martinez on September 30th, following a disappointing offensive season.
