Breaking: Auburn Football Officially Confirm the Commitment of Another Top Offensive Star

Despite the disappointment of another loss for the Auburn football team, Tiger supporters received some positive news from 4-star inside offensive lineman . The Georgia native, a member of the 2026 class, will reclassify and join the Tigers on the Plains a year early.

He ranked as the #21 interior offensive lineman and #31 player out of his state in the 2026 class, committed to Auburn in December and announced his reclassification on social media this weekend.

“Auburn, myself, and my family feel like it gives me the best opportunity to achieve what I’m trying to achieve,” Ellis told Auburn Live. “God has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to play this game, so why not come in early learn from the veteran guys and work my butt off to fight for a job?”

Hugh Freeze speaks on his expectations after Saturday’s loss

Following a disheartening (but expected) loss to the Georgia Bulldogs this past weekend in Athens, the Tigers have added another loss to their ledger and are now winless in conference play. With penalties, turnovers, and poor decisions, the club has virtually defeated itself in every game it has played.

The Tigers played a much cleaner game on Saturday, but head coach Hugh Freeze was disappointed with his team’s effort in the 31-13 road loss.

“I expect more fight than what we saw for the first 60 minutes today,” Freeze told Auburn Rivals. “I said it in the locker room, and I meant it. It’s my responsibility to get that out of them, and I’ll die trying.

“As coaches, we must figure out how to coach them harder and avoid fatal blunders that cost us a chance to win a football game. I keep saying we’re not that far away because, you know, I believe they’re the No. 5 team in the country, and we should have played in this game.

“We aren’t playing winning football in vital moments. We, as coaches, have a responsibility to fix it.
