Breaking News: Auburn land 5-star commitment for highly talented star

According to 247Sports, Bryson Tiller, one of the most desired athletes in the 2025 class, is down to four finalists.

Tiller, a 6-foot-10 power forward at Atlanta (Ga.) Overtime Elite, has down his options to Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, and Kansas. The composite five-star talent, ranked No. 20 overall by 247Sports, has made official visits to each of his finalists, and after initially planned to sign late, he is now expected to sign during the early signing period in November.

Just a week ago, 247Sports was in Atlanta for the OTE Combine, where we were able to speak with Tiller about his recent excursions to watch the Tigers and his local Yellow Jackets.

The hometown coach, Damon Stoudamire, emphasized his NBA experience and the benefits of staying local.

“He says the decision should be easy for me. He likes to highlight how well he understands what it takes to reach the next level, and I feel I can trust him for guidance in that area. Having my family able to attend every game would be a big plus.”

Meanwhile, Bruce Pearl strengthened his connection with Tiller.

“I was able to bond with Coach Pearl on a deeper level, and I think that’s what matters most. They believe I can fit in anywhere on the team. They even showed me a list of successful players who’ve played in my position.”

In a July interview, Tiller shared insights on his visits to Indiana and Kansas.

Indiana: “It was a great visit. Coach Mike Woodson and his staff have built a great culture. Similar to other visits, we focused on player development, especially at my position, and they do an excellent job at that.”

Kansas: “The visit was solid. They have a great coaching staff and culture, obviously. We returned for an unofficial visit to dive deeper into skill development and gather more details about how I could fit into their system and grow as a player.”

While Tiller hasn’t set a specific date for his decision, it could happen as soon as this month, and he’s expected to sign early.

Despite a fractured ankle keeping him sidelined for a few months, Tiller is nearly fully recovered and worked out in front of 247Sports and college coaches at last week’s OTE Combine.

“We’re eager to see Tiller fully cleared, but his workout was impressive. He’s in excellent condition, looking like someone who has already spent time in a college weight room. He’s just shy of 6’11” in shoes and a solid 238 pounds. His workout showcased his soft hands, touch, and significantly improved shooting range. With his size and skill set, Tiller could be a major matchup problem, whether at the five or as a strong, big four.”
