Breaking: Dolphins star confirms he will miss the entire 2024 season with major injury

The Miami Dolphins confront the most important game of the 2024 season. After opening the season 1-3, they will face the New England Patriots without their greatest pass rusher.

In fact, the news for Miami and Phillips could not be any worse. Phillips will miss the entire 2024 season due to a knee injury. The top defensive end rushed to social media to share the news.

Phillips will miss the rest of the season for the second year in a row due to an injury.

If there is any good news about the Dolphins’ defensive issues, it has to be the resurgence of Emmanuel Ogbah, who is playing more like he did when he signed his huge contract extension. Ogbah performed well for the Dolphins last season, but his contract was excessive considering the team’s salary cap predicament. Miami got Ogbah back when Shaq Barrett decided to retire just before training camp after signing with the Dolphins this year. So far, he’s delivered.

Dolphins keep getting bad news when it comes to Jaelan Phillips

Phillips, who spent the offseason rehabbing his Achilles injury, played against the Tennessee Titans with a brace on his knee. After re-injuring his knee, he was spotted banging his helmet into the ground on the sidelines. He refused to enter the medical tent and stood stoically until the medical personnel led him to the locker room, where he was ruled out.

Without Phillips on the field, the Dolphins’ defense began to be hammered by the Titans’ dominant offensive line. Miami’s defense struggled against Tennessee, and roster weaknesses are becoming increasingly apparent. Phillips’ absence is merely more of the same for a club that is constantly devastated by injuries.

If the Dolphins lose against the Patriots on Sunday, their season could be mathematically ended. They will have a bye week the following weekend.
