Breaking News: South Carolina football confirm the departure of two key stars

South Carolina football is 3-1 thus far in the 2024 season, with Shane Beamer’s defense playing admirably. The Gamecocks have greatly improved on that side of the ball, and all three levels of the unit are playing well as the team enters the most difficult stretch of their schedule.

Two of the Gamecock defense’s most impactful players just received extremely high NFL Draft evaluations.

TJ Sanders, a defensive lineman, has received many first-round NFL Draft forecasts from CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso, and the NFL analyst just produced another mock draft in which Sanders went 22nd overall to the Dallas Cowboys.

Sanders was also mocked in the first round by Walter Football, who projected him as the 23rd pick to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Nick Emmanwori, a South Carolina defensive back, has recently received some positive news regarding his NFL Draft chances. According to CBS Sports’ Mike Renner, the Gamecock safety will be selected 26th overall in the draft by the Buffalo Bills.

Sanders has 12 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for loss so far this season in 2024. He has missed a little time due to a foot issue, but it appears like he will be alright moving forward.

He led the Gamecocks in sacks during the 2023 season while playing numerous spots up front, but he has spent almost all of his 2024 snaps at defensive lineman.

Emmanwori has been playing some of his best football this autumn. The freshly minted #7 leads the Gamecocks in tackles and interceptions from the safety position. Despite having one pick-6 against LSU called back due to a controversial penalty, Emmanwori has two interceptions during the Gamecocks’ 3-1 start, one of which he recovered for a score.

TJ Sanders, Nick Emmanwori, and the rest of the South Carolina football team will return to action on October 5th against the Ole Miss Rebels at Williams-Brice Stadium.
