Breaking News: Kings Confirm the Signing of Another Top Talented Star

using training camps approaching, teams are filling out their rotations using Exhibit-10 contracts to ensure that players retain their G-League rights if they do not make the roster. That is the situation for a former Dallas Mavericks prospect who has signed with a Western Conference foe.

Dexter Dennis, who the Dallas Mavericks signed as an undrafted free agency in 2023, has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the Sacramento Kings, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac. Dennis was originally signed as an Exhibit-10 prospect by the Mavericks last year until his contract was changed to a two-way deal. Dallas waived him in December to create way for Brandon Williams, who remains on the roster.

Dennis played with Dallas’ G-League club, the Texas Legends, before being acquired by the Cleveland Charge, the Cavaliers’ G-League franchise. He would play out the 2023-24 season with Cleveland before being traded to Sacramento’s G-League affiliate this offseason. He appeared in four Mavericks games and scored 22 points, including an 18-point performance in a blowout defeat to the Houston Rockets in December.

The former American Conference Defensive Player of the Year played four seasons for Wichita State before finishing his college career at Texas A&M. He has potential as a defensive wing and has shown some offensive ability on occasion.

The Kings have Keon Ellis on their roster, who is also a defensive talent, and they may see Dennis as someone to groom into a future rotational player.
