The Miami Dolphins lost quarterback to a chest injury during their Week 3 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game, leading to Tim Boyle stepping in as Miami’s third quarterback in three weeks.
The 27-year-old remained on the ground after being sacked by Seattle linebacker Tyrel Dodson in the third quarter. He was eventually able to get up and was taken to the locker room.
Before leaving the game, Thompson completed 13 of 19 passes for 107 yards, with the Dolphins trailing 17-3. This was his first start since 2022, as he took the field after Tua Tagovailoa sustained a concussion during the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
