Breaking: East Carolina Lands Commitment for Another Top Talented Star

East Carolina has picked another commitment securing top prospect Daithi Quinn from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard is noted for his slicing ability and quickness, which allow him to score at numerous levels. Quinn, a wing prospect, is rated three stars (88 overall) by 247Sports and presently ranks as the second-best player in Massachusetts for the 2025 class. He also had offers from George Mason and Massachusetts, among others.

Quinn, pronounced DAW-hee, spent the summer as a member of the Middlesex Magic on the Under Armour AAU circuit, where he led a team with eight Division I commitments in scoring. Quinn is a track and field athlete who has won state championships in both triple jump and javelin. Quinn is noted for his athleticism, toughness on the floor, and ability to score at all three levels.

Brandon Jenkins, a 247Sports analyst, wrote the following about Quinn after seeing him compete in the UAA Finals this summer.

“Quinn was one I was personally excited to get eyes on as he has been racking up the offers this grassroots season,” according to Jenkins. “The Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy product stands 6-foot-4 and combines power and shooting touch to make an inside-out effect on the game. He throws his body around when fifty-fifty balls are up for grabs, is skilled at scoring off clean-up shots, and is a potential three-point threat.”

Daithi was initially offered by ECU on July 16, earlier this summer. His primary recruiter was assistant coach Riley Davis, although he was also approached by head coach Michael Schwartz and the rest of the Pirates’ coaching staff.

In addition to Quinn’s recent visit, East Carolina had two 247Sports four-star recruits on campus for official visits this past weekend: Cam Miles (IMG Academy) and Jackson Keith (Southern Durham). ECU just saw point guard Jordan Vick, who was in the 2024 class until reclassifying to 2025, revive his recruitment last month. Vick is now playing at Word of God.
