The Kansas State team have won a key recruiting fight. Jordan Speiser, a 6-foot-1 shooting guard from Warrenton, Missouri, declared her decision to play for the Wildcats on Friday. Both ESPN and On3 rank Speiser as a top 20 recruit nationally in the class of 2025. She is one of the most highly regarded players to have ever committed to the Kansas State women’s basketball team, with an ESPN five-star rating. She had several possibilities after high school, but she chose K-State over Connecticut, Iowa, and North Carolina.
Speiser was selected Missouri’s Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 23.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game as a junior at Lutheran St. Charles High School and leading her team to the 5A state championship. The Kansas State women’s basketball team is coming off one of its best seasons in program history, and it will attempt to capitalize on that momentum by signing a high-profile recruit.
