It is presently football season in Oxford, Mississippi, but the Ole Miss baseball team will return to the Diamond sooner than later, with intrasquad scrimmages beginning later this month.

Walls is listed in Perfect Game as an outfielder, middle infielder, and third baseman, yet he spends the majority of his time on the mound.

“I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending the University of Mississippi to continue my academic and athletic career. I feel incredibly fortunate.” I want to express my gratitude to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me this chance and enabling me to use my sport to exalt Him. In addition, I want to express my gratitude to my family for their efforts in order for me to be here today. Above all, my father for mentoring me both on and off the field and for putting in endless hours to make this happen,” Walls posted on social media on Monday afternoon.
