LATEST: Edmonton Elks Land Commitment For Another Top Star

The Edmonton Elks have added American defensive lineman Jordan Strachan to their practice roster. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 245 pounds, Strachan played 27 games at the University of South Carolina, where he tallied 52 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and an interception.

Hailing from Kingsland, Georgia, Strachan began his collegiate journey as a walk-on at Georgia State University. During his time there, he recorded 78 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one pass deflection, earning a spot on the All-Sun Belt third team in 2019.

The Elks, currently holding a 4-8 record, are set to face the Calgary Stampeders (4-7) on Saturday, September 7, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
