With the offseason acquisition of Chris Paul, the San Antonio Spurs will have one of the most illustrious and revered guards in history for the 2024–25 campaign.
Players like Keldon Johnson are welcoming Paul with open arms at the Spurs.
According to Ty Jager of Legion Hoops, Johnson will wear No. 0 this season because he has given up his former No. 3 to Paul.
This shows that the Spurs are thrilled to have the 12-time All-Star on board.
Paul played his final season with the Golden State Warriors, where he averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists.
He never quite fit into the rotation as intended, and the Warriors let him go to the Spurs in the offseason.
Even though Paul is getting older and not playing as much as he once did, he still has a lot to offer to San Antonio.

He has approximately 20 years of expertise and extensive postseason knowledge that he can share with the youthful club.
Fans are particularly interested to see what he can achieve with Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama.
They believe the club will look much better if Wembanyama can play off of an experienced and talented guard.
Few people can match Paul’s accomplishments and talent.
Will this addition shake up the Spurs and help them rise a little higher in the Western Conference standings?
It appears that the team believes so, and players are willing to make changes to make him feel welcome.
