‘Huge Shock’: Phillies All-Star Suffers Another Serious Injury Setback

The Philadelphia Phillies’ All-Star third baseman, did not start against the Atlanta Braves due to a left hand injury.

Bohm damaged his hand during an at-bat in Thursday’s 5-4 win over the Braves. He was injured after a swing in the first inning and was replaced by Edmundo Sosa before the top of the third inning.

Before Friday’s game, Phillies manager Rob Thomson claimed Bohm had “a little inflammation” in his hand. He said the X-rays were negative.

“There’s no structural damage, so we got a break,” Thomson added.
