Latest: Aaron Judge Makes His Opinion On Yankees Errors Extremely Clear

Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees struggled offensively and defensively Tuesday night against the Washington Nationals. The Yankees recorded eight hits against Washington, but went 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position. The Yankees performed poorly in the field, making four errors. Overall, it was a frustrating night for the Yankees, who suffered a 4-2 setback in the interleague game at Nationals Park. “I think we had 3 or 4 errors on the night,” Judge told reporters in the locker room after the game (via YES Network). “Anytime something like that happens, it’s tough to win a ball game.”

Judge had another chance to save the Yankees’ season as he stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the eighth inning. However, he grounded into a double play, and DJ LeMahieu scored New York’s first run of the game. He finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout. New York now has 79 errors on the season, the seventh-most in the major leagues. The Yankees cannot always rely on Judge to save them. Self-inflicted wounds will not help them either. The Yankees, who are 78-55, can rebound from their loss on Wednesday when they play the last game of the three-game series against Washington.
