Five-star linebacker, the top player at his position in the 2025 class, made his commitment to the University of Texas. Williams chose the Longhorns over LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Southern California. He highlighted the coaches, namely head coach Steve Sarkisian, as a key in his decision. “The coaching staff really made me feel comfortable about my decision,” stated Williams. Jonah Williams is 6-foot-3 and weighs 203 pounds. He attends Ball High School in Galveston, Texas. According to the 247Sports composite, he is the top linebacker and number ten overall in the class. Williams, on the other hand, projects well as a safety and has expressed a desire to play there in college.
“I’m confident that I’ll see the field early,” Williams remarked. “I’m going to work to see the field early because the (Texas) safety room isn’t really deep.” Williams made an unauthorized trip to Texas last month. He paid official visits to the other finalists, as well as Ohio State. He intends to play baseball, a sport in which he excels, as an outfielder and pitcher in Austin. He was one of just three composite top-10 players who hadn’t committed to a program.
