Anthony Rogers, a four-star running back from Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama, continues to attract interest from multiple teams despite his commitment to Alabama football.
Although Rogers has verbally committed to the Crimson Tide, he remains open to exploring other options. “I’m still committed,” Rogers said in an interview with Touchdown Alabama. “I’m just looking around, seeing what other schools have to offer to make sure I made the right decision for my future.”
Alabama recently secured a commitment from Mississippi 4-star running back Akylin Dear, and Anthony Rogers believes their playing styles complement each other well.
“That’d be a great duo for us in the future,” Rogers said. “He’s a good downhill power back, and I’m more of an all-purpose player.”
Rogers reinforced his versatility as an all-purpose back on Friday when he started at slot wide receiver for Carver High School, finishing the game with 162 yards and a touchdown reception. Regarded as one of the nation’s most versatile backs, Rogers mentioned that Auburn, Georgia, and Ohio State are still actively recruiting him. While he hasn’t finalized any visit plans, he indicated that he intends to visit Tuscaloosa, with a good chance of visiting those other programs as well.
If Alabama can hold onto Rogers, they are poised to sign two of the nation’s top running backs in the 2025 class.
