Major Breaking: Steph Curry reveals why America MUST vote for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump

Steph Curry made an unexpected visit at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, endorsing Kamala Harris as the future president of the United States.

Curry appeared on the big screen at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, two weeks after inspiring the United States men’s basketball team to gold at the Paris Olympics, urging the country to vote for Harris over Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump later this year.

The American sports star first spoke on the ‘honor’ of winning Olympic gold before adding a scripted video message: ‘That togetherness on and off the court reminded us all that together, we can do anything and continue to inspire the world.

He went on to say, ‘That’s why I believe Kamala as President can restore unity and drive our country forward. This is about keeping hope and belief in our country, as well as ensuring that families are cared for during the most critical times.

‘I had the opportunity to see Kamala with my team at the White House last year, and I can tell you one thing I understood then and now: the Oval Office suited her perfectly.

So, in the words of Michelle Obama, “Do something!” Go vote and be involved. Let us show up in November like never before.

‘It has been an honor for me to represent our country, and it is an honor to support Kamala, so let us all do our share.’

Curry, who scored 24 points to help the United States defeat hosts France in the men’s Olympic basketball championship, has previously supported the Democrats in the 2020 presidential race.

On the eve of the Paris Games, he also expressed his optimism that Harris will win this year’s election.

‘Interesting times in our country right now,’ the Golden State Warriors point guard explained. ‘Hopefully with her on the ticket, we’ll win the election. It’s a huge deal, to say the least.

Before the 2020 election, Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha publicly announced their support for Joe Biden over Donald Trump.

Ayesha opened the announcement with, “We want to ensure that our kids grow up in a nation that is safe, happy, healthy, and fair, and so we are voting for Joe Biden.”

Steph Curry confirmed, “We’re voting for Joe Biden.”

Curry has had previous disagreements with Trump, including refusing an invitation to the White House in 2017. In response, Trump rescinded the Golden State Warriors’ invitation to the White House via Twitter (now X).

This week, Curry isn’t the only member of the USA Olympic basketball team making an appearance at the Democratic National Convention. On Monday night, Steve Kerr, Curry’s coach for both the Warriors and Team USA, spoke at the convention to endorse Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for President and Vice President.

Addressing the delegates at the United Center—the home of the Chicago Bulls, where Kerr won three consecutive championships from 1996 to 1998—the 58-year-old delivered a powerful speech emphasizing unity. However, he also took a subtle jab at Trump.

As he concluded his speech in Chicago, Kerr referenced Curry’s signature “Night Night” celebration from the Olympics in Paris, using it as a metaphorical warning to Trump. Kerr mimicked Curry’s sleeping gesture and said, “After the results are tallied that night [November 5], we can tell Donald Trump, ‘Night night.'”

Kerr highlighted Curry’s recent “Night Night” celebration during the gold medal match in Paris, which Kerr viewed as a representation of American values. He reflected on the experience, saying, “The last time I was in a packed basketball arena was in Paris, France. Nine days ago, I watched 12 incredible American men come together to win Olympic gold, and the next night, I saw our incredible American women do the same.

“It’s hard to think of a better symbol of American ideals than how Team USA united at the Olympics. Players from all over our country, who have fought hard against each other throughout their careers, came together to represent the red, white, and blue. Watching the American flag rise and the national anthem play with our players wearing gold medals was the proudest moment of my life.”
