BREAKING : Blue Devils Confirm The Departure Of Another Top Talented Star

A Hebron Christian Academy cornerback, changed his mind about going to Duke and instead committed to NC State.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Kemp, who just revealed his decision to join the Wolfpack’s 2025 recruiting class, was a top State prospect until committing to the Blue Devils in June.

Prior to his commitment to the Blue Devils, Kemp was a top target for the Wolfpack, who were due to make an official visit in June. Cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell’s efficient and succinct communication was a crucial factor for their good relationship with State.

“He’s someone who would put me in the best position to reach the next level,” Kemp said about Mitchell. “He wouldn’t steer me wrong. He’s an honest and great guy. NC State is producing top defensive players, like Payton Wilson, who’s an outstanding player. They showed me some of his film, and it was impressive. Their secondary is an elite group, with their DBs showing a lot of initiative. They hold private meetings and are constantly scheming and finding ways to improve.

“The way he coaches and instills that mindset in them is amazing. It makes me feel that if I chose NC State, I’d be in the right place.”

Kemp recently received glowing praise for his abilities from an anonymous scout who spoke with Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
