Breaking News: Auburn Transfer Suffers Mind-blowing Season-ending Injury

Auburn standout suffered a torn bicep during the last practice.

While the injury is expected to be season-ending, the injured-reserve designation eliminates any prospect of Davidson playing this season. If Davidson is released after an injury settlement and regains his health, he will be eligible to sign with another team in 2024.

After Davidson restarted his NFL career late in the 2023 season, the Titans expected him to be a member of their defensive interior rotation alongside two-time Pro Bowler Jeffery Simmons, second-round draft pick T’Vondre Sweat, and Sebastian Joseph-Day.
Davidson did not appear in any NFL regular-season games in 2022. However, in 2023, Davidson appeared in the Titans’ last five games, the first two as a practice squad member before making three starts as a part of the 53-man roster. He has 10 tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss while playing 163 defensive snaps.

On May 6, Tennessee re-signed Davidson, who became an unrestricted free agent on March 13.

Davidson was Alabama’s Class 5A Lineman of the Year in 2015 for Greenville High School and an All-SEC selection at Auburn before being drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Falcons in 2020.

In his first two seasons with the Falcons, Davidson appeared in 19 games, starting one and missing 15 due to injuries and COVID-19. He recorded 29 tackles, including one sack, one tackle for loss, and one interception returned for a touchdown.

Davidson began the 2022 season on injured reserve after injuring his knee in training camp, before being released by Atlanta on October 25, 2022.

Davidson returned in 2023, spending the offseason, training camp, and preseason with the 49ers before beginning the season on the practice squad. San Francisco released Davidson on October 4, and the Titans signed him to their practice squad on October 25, exactly one year after Atlanta released him.
