Breaking News: Alabama football injury report with another devastating injury

Alabama football’s Saturday scrimmage was shorter than the Crimson Tide’s first of the offseason, with 94 plays versus 102. However, head coach Kalen DeBoer stated that it was the most physical he had seen since arriving in Tuscaloosa, including the A-Day game.

As a result, some Tide players sustained injuries during the scrimmage. DeBoer provided an update on a couple injuries following the scrimmage.

For starters, running back Jam Miller did not attend. Miller had worn a black non-contact jersey during workouts following the UA’s first scrimmage.

“Just got dinged up a week ago,” DeBoer remarked. “He could have left today if he needed to. “Not to get too crazy, and (we) are being smart.”

Besides Miller, Alabama players who were not fully engaging in practice drills witnessed by the media this week were offensive linemen Tyler Booker and Olaus Alinen, linebacker Jihaad Campbell, and running backs Kevin Riley and Richard Young.

DeBoer made it sound like no one was dealing with anything serious.

“Got through relatively healthy,” he remarked. “Some things this week with a couple guys that will pull them probably out for a few practices, but by the end of the week we should, for the most part, have the guys that we need to be out there practicing, getting ready for week one against Western Kentucky.”

Jaeden Roberts, the Crimson Tide’s starting offensive guard on the right side, was also reportedly injured. According to DeBoer, he will not miss any games.

“Jaeden will be able to play week one,” DeBoer stated. “It won’t be anything where he’ll be out for a game or anything.”

Alabama will resume preseason camp practices on Tuesday. WKU visits Tuscaloosa on August 31 to kick off the DeBoer era, and the Crimson Tide will open the season.
