Florida has some ground to make up on two finalists for one of its secondary targets.
With a commitment date of August 17th, Miami (Fla.) Columbus four-star defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald has already stated that he is down to the final four: Florida, Florida State, LSU, and Miami. Fitzgerald believes Florida State and LSU are the two teams who stand out from the group with just over a week till he announces his selection.
“Just how they’ve been keeping in touch, and how they see me in their program,” Fitzgerald told 247Sports. “[LSU], they’ve been there, but not as high. I’m talking to the coaches, and I like how they see me playing and being used. [FSU], really just [Patrick] Surtan believing in me and recognizing my abilities. I talk to him almost every day. “I’m just keeping in touch and maintaining our relationship.
“According to Fitzgerald, other finalists Florida and Miami are “still in the mix”, but with the Gators, his biggest question is wanting to see how the team does this season. Regardless of where he commits on the 17th, he’s still planned to keep his choices open and attend a few college games this season.
