Breaking News: LSU Football Confirm Surprise Departure Of Another Top Talented Star

LSU football is receiving some bad news. Tight end  is quitting the program, according to On3. It was unclear at the time of writing why Markway had left the football program.

Last season, the youthful tight end played in 12 games as a true freshman. He recorded three receptions for 16 yards. Markway did catch a touchdown pass during a game against Georgia State.
LSU has multiple alternatives at tight end this season, which may have influenced the player’s decision to leave the school. Mason Taylor returns as the LSU football team’s most experienced tight end.

Markway is listed at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds. He is likely to receive calls from multiple schools requesting his services.

LSU football is looking for success in the 2024 campaign

LSU football coach Brian Kelly is in a critical season as the Tigers’ head coach. Kelly has yet to lead LSU football to a College Football Playoff trip, despite considerable success. With Nick Saban no longer at Alabama, this upcoming season is viewed as a significant possibility for the squad to go to the CFP. Tigers fans surely have high expectations.
“The simplest way for me to answer the question is that I don’t deal with expectations. “I work within a process of how we do things on a daily basis,” Kelly told On3. “I know that’s not the answer you want.”

“We don’t deal with those expectations on a daily basis; rather, are we doing the things required to stay to our process? Because we care more about making progress toward our long-term goals than about the results.”

Kelly joined the institution in 2022, following a few seasons at Notre Dame. Despite failing to qualify for the CFP, the coach has won 10 games in each of his first two seasons. Kelly was successful at Notre Dame and Cincinnati, guiding both clubs to 12-win seasons. He also won two national championships at Division 2 Grand Valley State in 2002 and 2003.

In the first preseason coaches poll, LSU football is ranked 12th in the nation. The Tigers have a difficult conference schedule that includes games against Alabama, Ole Miss, and Florida, and they begin their season against USC on September 1 in a crucial non-conference game. A victory over the Trojans will undoubtedly help LSU’s case for a CFP berth this season.
