Breaking News: Former Alabama Crimson Tide Standout Named Head Football Coach

Christion Jones, wide receiver and kick returner for the Alabama Crimson Tide, has been appointed as the new head football coach at Paul W. Bryant High School, the school announced Friday morning.

Jones, who played for Minor High School before joining Alabama, was a member of the Crimson Tide from 2011 to 2014 under coach Nick Saban. During his time at Alabama, he contributed to consecutive BCS national championships in 2012 and 2013, earned the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year award, and was named First-team All-SEC in 2013. Over his collegiate career, Jones recorded 85 receptions for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns, and also scored on three punt returns and two kickoff returns.

Following his college career, Jones had stints with the Miami Dolphins in 2015 and 2016 and played in the Canadian Football League from 2016 to 2019.
