Chisholm shone in that situation, going 3-for-13 with two doubles and several defensive highlights. At his finest, he’s an energizer on the base paths. At his worst, he’s a league-average hitter with a reputation for dishonesty.
His 100 OPS+ last year and 101 thus far in 2024 suggest that he’s either looking for a bigger stage, or that his genuine talent is somewhere between “fine” and “shrug”.
