Breaking: Alabama Football Lands Commitment For Another Talented Star

Five-star wide receiver has verbally committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. If he signs with the Crimson Tide in 2025, the six-foot-two, 180-pound phenom from Choctaw County High School in Ackerman, Mississippi, will be the latest in a long line of highly recruited Alabama receivers to play for the team.
On3, Cunningham is ranked as the #1 overall talent in Mississippi and the second-best wide receiver prospect in the country.

What are Caleb Cunningham’s strengths?

Cunningham is a strong receiver who can win almost any one-on-one matchup and has tremendous speed. This unusual combination is one of the reasons he is a consensus five-star recruit.

Despite playing at the 3A level in Mississippi, Cunningham’s skill set is undeniable. With such size, strength, and speed, it’s difficult to ignore anybody you’re playing against.

What other five star wide receivers have signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide?

Touchdown Alabama on X: "BREAKING: Alabama 5-Star WR commit Ryan Williams has reclassified to the 2024 recruiting class. Williams gives the Crimson Tide 21 2024 commits. https://t.co/MDACKaT9yd" / X

Ryan Williams of Saraland High School in Saraland, Alabama, is the most recent five-star recruit to sign with Alabama. Williams’ ranking was incredibly amazing, especially given that he reclassified and should still be in high school for another year. Despite this, On3 nonetheless gave him a consensus five-star rating.

Jerry Jeudy, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley are the other five outstanding receivers that paved the way before Cunningham. Ridley and Jones have had great NFL careers, while Jeudy is still finding his footing despite being in the league since 2020.

There is little doubt that head coach Kalen DeBoer utilized this as a recruiting pitch for Cunningham. And, with Alabama stocked at quarterback behind Jalen Milroe, who will most likely be out of Tuscaloosa by the time Cunningham sees substantial playing time, the Tide remain loaded behind him, which bodes well for Cunningham.

Ty Simpson, Dylan Lonergan, and Austin Mack have set the Tide up for terrific depth at the position, so Cunningham should be happy about the environment he is entering.
