Breaking: Rutgers Land Commitment for Another Top Experienced Star

Melissa Lehman, head coach of the Rutgers women’s lacrosse team, has announced the addition of graduate transfer Lexie Coldiron from Lafayette. Coldiron, a two-time All-Patriot League selection, will have one year of eligibility with the Scarlet Knights in 2025.

Coldiron appeared in 49 career games with Lafayette, making 484 saves in over 2,700 minutes in the cage. Coldiron started and played in all 16 Panthers games in spring, making 158 saves on 498 shots for a.472 save percentage. Coldiron also collected 51 ground balls and created 19 turnovers on his way to 2024 Second Team All-Patriot League accolades.

Coldiron, a 2023 all-league selection, has 25 career games with 10 or more saves, including a career-high 18 in this year’s season opener against Columbia.

Coldiron joins a program that made its fourth consecutive Big Ten semifinal appearance this season, defeating No. 7 Maryland in the conference quarterfinals on April 27 at College Park. RU finished the season with eight wins and faced eight teams that proceeded to this year’s NCAA Tournament.
