Caitlin Clark breaks her silence on being Angel Reese’s teammate

The star of the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark, shared her thoughts about playing with Angel Reese in the next WNBA All-Star game.

On “Team WNBA,” Clark and Reese will be preparing for their July 20 matchup against the USA Olympic team.

Regarding her and Reese’s All-Star nods, Clark told reporters, “I know people are going to be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn’t take away from everybody else.”

“This is a tremendous accomplishment for all members of Team WNBA and Team USA.” They all merit the same recognition.

It wouldn’t be fair to them if it took precedence over all of that and became the main event of All-Star weekend.

Although Clark was selected for the All-Star team, it’s unclear how much of the festivities during All-Star Weekend she will attend.

“It’s still early to tell, let’s see,” Clark responded when asked if she would think about competing in the 3-point shootout. I’m still undecided. I can’t respond to all of your questions today.

There will be a skills competition in addition to the All-Star Game and the 3-point competition.

With more than 700,000 votes cast in Clark’s favor, the fans selected her as the top vote-getter. With more than 618,000 votes, her Indiana colleague Aliyah Boston finished in second.

A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, who will compete for Team USA, and Reese completed the top five.
