Almost two months ago, Washington secured its fifth commitment for the 2025 recruiting cycle. Now, 58 days later, the Huskies have their 20th pledge. On Thursday, local three-star offensive lineman Lowen Colman-Brusa from Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien committed to Washington.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 285 pounds, Colman-Brusa is ranked as the No. 7 player in the state and the No. 80 offensive tackle in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings.
He chose Washington over offers from Duke, Montana, and Portland State. His brother, Derek Colman-Brusa, a four-star edge rusher at Kennedy Catholic, is the top player in the state for the 2026 recruiting cycle and is one of the best edge rushers on the west coast. Currently ranked No. 156 nationally, Derek is predicted to commit to Washington and holds offers from schools like BYU, California, Duke, Ohio State, Oregon, Oregon State, Tennessee, USC, and Washington State.
Lowen Colman-Brusa is the fifth in-state player to commit to the Huskies. Washington has secured commitments from the top two players in the state: four-star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Bethel High School in Spanaway and four-star athlete Jonathan Epperson Jr. from Auburn Riverside High School.
Additionally, they have commitments from three-star athlete D’Aryhian Clemons from Spanaway Lake High School, the No. 6 player in the state, and Kamiak High School’s three-star edge rusher Victor Sanchez Hernandez Jr. from Mukilteo.
If all five sign, it will be the highest number of local commitments in one cycle since Jimmy Lake’s 2021 recruiting class, which included Kennedy Catholic quarterback Sam Huard, O’Dea High School offensive lineman Owen Prentice, Kennedy Catholic wide receiver Jabez Tinae, Eatonville High School fullback Caden Jumper, Bethel’s Will Latu, and Renton High School defensive lineman Siaosi Finau.
Washington’s third offensive line commit for 2025, Colman-Brusa joins Jake Flores, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound three-star offensive lineman from JSerra Catholic in Southern California, who committed on February 3, and four-star offensive lineman Champ Taulealea, who pledged on June 13.
The Huskies now have 14 scholarship offensive linemen on their roster, including three transfers: junior college tackle Maximus McCree, former Ohio State guard Enokk Vimahi, and Portland State standout and former Eastside Catholic High School star D’Angalo Titialii.
These new arrivals join a group that had only seven active scholarship players during spring practice as junior Gaard Memmelaar and sophomore Landen Hatchett recovered from injuries. True freshmen Davit Boyajyan and Justin Hylkema will also contribute to the depth.
