Breaking: UNC Land Commitment for Another Top Experienced Star

Class of 2025 offensive lineman quickly commits to UNC football team.

The Class of 2025 offensive lineman has announced his commitment to the North Carolina

football program less than a week after receiving an offer from Mack Brown and the UNC football team.
The 295-pound prospect received an offer from the Tar Heels on Sunday during a visit to Chapel Hill, and he quickly expressed his enthusiasm for the program.

Nelson explained his visit to Chapel Hill in an interview with Inside Carolina on Sunday.

“I believe [North] Carolina is currently at the top of the list. They treated me quite well on my official visit. There wasn’t a single moment when I didn’t enjoy myself. My parents and sister were both pleased.

Nelson’s visit to UNC marked the end of his three-college tour in June, which also included stops at Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt, the other two institutions in his top three.

Nelson made it obvious that he valued academics as well, and football was not the only aspect that influenced his selection.

“It was amazing with Coach [Mack] Brown sitting in his office, surrounded by history.” Knowing it was a North Carolina offer carries a lot of weight. The degree is worth $200,000, which is something that no child ever dreams about.

Nelson is the 12th UNC football commit in the 2025 recruiting class, and the third offensive lineman. His pledge elevates the UNC recruiting Class of 2025 to No. 36 nationally and No. 8 in the ACC.
