Breaking News: NC State lands commitment for another standout player

NC State continues to add to its 2025 roster, this time with Georgia Tech corner infielder Ryan Jaros.
Jaros was a Top 150 player in the 2023 class, rated as a 9.5 prospect (out of 10) and the class’s sixth-ranked third baseman. He’ll have two years of eligibility left.

It is unclear whether the 6’3, 218-pound New Jersey native is being pursued as a first or third baseman, but with Alec Makarewicz and Garret Pennington graduating, the Wolfpack will have voids at both positions coming into the 2025 season.

The money is on him staying at the hot corner, where his defense is normally strong (2 errors;.931 fielding %) and has plenty of upside. He’s an all-field hitter with a gap approach.

In April, he started eight games and went 7-for-20 (.350) with three doubles, eight runs, one RBI, five walks, one home run, and six strikeouts. He had three multi-hit games for Georgia Tech: against Georgia (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB), at Pittsburgh (3-for-4, 2 2B, 2 R), and at Virginia (2-for-4, 2B, 2 R, RBI).

Jaros was a Cranford High School teammate of NC State RHP Shane Van Dam.
